A keen tri-athlete Alan regularly commentates at multi-sports events around Scotland. He is the preferred commentator for the Scottish Triathlon Championships, British Youth Championships and British Sprint Triathlon Championships and also commentated at the Corus Elite event at Strathclyde Park which was filmed for Channel 4.
Alan is the Scottish 1/4 of the Laughing Lions Rugby Sketch troupe, which as you guessed features a Scottish comic, English comic, Irish comic & a Welsh whinger. The boys take their irreverent views on rugby to clubs across the UK.
